Championing the Ideals and Institutions that Made America Great.

 Read the AmericanExceptionalism.com blog here.

Welcome to American Exceptionalism.com

This site will:

Define American Exceptionalism with respect to the historic culture of the United States.

Examine the positive attributes of American Exceptionalism including some now considered "controversial " institutions and symbols of the American Identity.

Become a hub for reliable resources regarding the history of American Exceptionalism, including its national heroes.

Present inspirational and accurate stories from the distant and the not so distant past that represents American Exceptionalism.

Examine the negative attributes of the culture and why they are often over-emphasized by the skeptical, the hostile, the alienated and the gullible.

This site is an admittedly ambitious project to launch with limited time and a limited budget.  It will take some time for the project to mature.  Also, I am certain I will be led down constructive paths I don't currently foresee.  That's fine by me.  It should be quite an adventure.   Visiting, linking or otherwise promoting this site, sponsors, and ads will ultimately lead to a bigger budget for this project.   Thank you.

AmericanExceptionalism.com Purpose
The purpose of this site is to honor, champion and defend the traditional ideals,
values, attitudes and institutions that formed the foundation upon which the United
States grew to be the Land of Opportunity and the "Shining City on a Hill."

AmEx Plan
The effort required to develop this site to its full potential is well beyond the scope
of one person but I am confident that with the cooperation of all of you who are
united by your passion to promote what is great about the U.S. and feel compelled
to collaborate on this exciting adventure in your own way, this project will move
forward at an ever-increasing rate toward becoming a tremendous resource. As
with any project starting from sratch, it will take time to build momentum so will
likely be a lesson in perserverance.

AmEx Submissions
AmericanExceptionalism.com wants heroic, inspirational stories and can be either
contemporary or historical.  Find the heroic in everyday people taking charge of their own destiny
and creating a better world.

AmericanExceptionalism.com would prefer to not to be overtly political; however,
these are interesting times and one side of the political spectrum is clearly at war
with traditional American values so if you make it work, submit.

AmericanExceptionalism.com wants great photographs as well.  If your photo is
good enough to be considered, you should probably have a portfolio at istockphoto
(or similiar) at which to link.

Make sure submissions are properly edited and proofread. Only articles that require
very little editing tend be considered for publication. Articles with too many typos,
etc will likely be rejected.  AmericanExceptionalism.com reserves the right to edit
your submission, however.

Keep self-promotion tasteful.  Blatant self-promotion and the like will not be in your favor.

Adding the author’s brief bio at the bottom of your submitted article is acceptable.
You’re welcome to share a couple of URLs to your own blogs or products. Please
don't overdo it.

If you would like an image to accompany your submission, please provide the URL
to the image.  AmericanExceptionalism.com doesn't promise your photo will run but
will try to comply.

If your article has been published elsewhere, please mention it in your submission.
By submitting an article for consideration at AmericanExceptionalism.com, you attest
that you are the author of the post you’re submitting and that you are giving
AmericanExceptionalism.com the rights to publish your content on this blog or site
without any additional compensation.

You keep the copyright to your content.
